Circus

Ring Master - Blogg 1

Justin, your Circus Ring Master here.

This will be the first of my circus blogg entries in the run-up to the big-top events.

  • Do you need to be a crazy guy to perform in the circus?

Firstly, let me reassure you, if you’ve seen the photos below, fear not, you don’t need to be BARKING MAD to perform in our circus….but it would probably give you an advantage!

I’m not sure if Pete Za will be around for our Circus performances but I can confirm the presence of Barbie Cue, Berg Herr, I C Drinks and his Dad, Pop Corn - ho, ho!

  •  What qualifies me to be a Circus Ring Master I hear you say?

Well, I’d say living with 3 children, 2 cats, a dog, loads of fish and a ferocious shark AND being Football coach to 18 cheeky monkeys probably makes me more than qualified!

  • What have I done so far?

I spoke to the Princess of Pop, Britney Spears, earlier this year and persuaded her to write her song ‘Circus’ just for us. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a huge hit; maybe the line about Butleigh School Circus Performances will be first on Friday 5th June and then Saturday 6th just one more time, Baby” didn’t help?

I’m sure you’ll all be pleased to hear that my outfit is coming along very nicely. To complete the look, I only now need a horse rider to give-up their jodhpurs and our friendly Undertaker to go hatless for a day and I’ll be ready.

Watch this space for more outfit updates as we get closer to Showtime!

Spring Update

Plans are rollercoastering-on as we hit our 6 week deadline for the Childrens’ Circus.  We finished the end of last term with a show by clown called Pete Za, with his whacky brand of clowning which delighted the children and got them really excited.   It also made some stars out of the children who volunteered in his acts and showed how natural clowns children are!  There were some hilarious improvs from Charlie Burrough and Finlay to name but two!  I’ve included some photos below…
